Dan Hayes Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Hayes of Smithville, Missouri, who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Norma Hazen; his son Glen Hayes; his brother Steve Hayes; and his grandson Xavier Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Hayes; his children, Karen Vice (Phil) of Smithville, MO, Anita Cook of Smithville, MO and Bobby Hayes (Crystal) of Wamego, KS; his daughter-in-law Makenzie Hayes of Liberty, MO; his siblings, Kathy Francisco (Jerry) of Birchwood, TN, Doug Hayes (Tadhi) of Amarillo, TX, Greg Hayes (Brynda) of Ellsworth, KS and Mark Hayes (Debbie) of Eureka, KS; and his sister-in-law Peggy Hayes of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ogallah Cemetery (19053 340 Ave, Ogallah, KS 67656). The military honors will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 5:00 PM.
