He was predeceased by: his brothers, Gary (Myrtle), Murry (Trish) and Brian. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Helton; his children, Tim Coates (Mary), Paul Coates and Pam Coates (Michael); his grandchildren, David, Dustin C., Brittany, Sarah, Adelynn and Claire; and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Ryan, Taylor, Emerson, Jackson and Marsh.
