“Those of you reading this probably don't know me, but I have heard stories about you all, and there is no doubt in my mind about the love Aaron had for you. The weight of his loss is unbearably heavy for you all, but if Number 1's stories are true, you all share the strength and the love to support one another through this sadness. (3 of 4 posts)”

“At work, we talked about family the most and leaving the railroad second. We were both able to leave the RR within a year of each other. I value all the memories and stories I have of Aaron. I never thought they would be a lifetime's worth, but now I realize that they are, and I am even more appreciative of the good and bad times we were able to share. (2 of 4 posts)”

Words of sympathy

Matt Porubsky wrote a sympathy message

“I'm lucky to have known Aaron for 17 years. We worked together daily for about five of those years, from 2015 to 2020. There were several Aarons in the railyards, and I always called him "Number 1" over the radio to get his attention. I got to know him well. Well enough that we would laugh with each other, listen to each other, and argue with each other. Most importantly, we looked out for one another. I always knew he would do anything he could to help me. (1 of 4 posts)”
