He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Scott and Faye Barnes Scott. He is survived by: his children, Stacy Scott (Bev) of Overland Park, Ken Scott of Walnut Shade, Michele Whitaker (Kelly) of Holt's Summit, Karie Roark (Randy) of Lebanon, Greg Young (Loretta) of Mendon, Jeff Young (Debbie) of Raymore and Doug Young (Megan) of Keytesville, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Cole, Canon, Catherine, Michael, M'Lynne, Autumn, Kristin, Alyssa, Taylor, Adam and Tyler. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat in care of the funeral home.
