As Jack departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jack may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jack leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred E. Sandwith and Mary Jackson Sandwith; and his wife Laura Jean Knippelberg. He is survived by: his children, Michael Sandwith (Debbie) of Nashville, Tom Sandwith (Gina) of Columbia, Terry Sandwith (Susan) of New Frankfort, Kathy Smith (Mike) of Raytown and Karen Gerhard (John) of Slater. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Covenant Presbyterian Church (710 E Yerby St, Marshall, MO 65340). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery (20109 Bus, MO-13, Higginsville, MO 64037).
Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post #78 Scholarship Fund in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
