He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold William Kateman and Alma Fenwick Kateman; his former wife Georgia Ann Deer; and his daughter Elizabeth "Beth" Blumhorst. He is survived by: his son Michael Kateman of Nelson; his stepdaughters, Bethany Weiker (Jason) of Slater and Jane Vogl (Kenny) of Slater; his grandsons, Chad Kateman of Columbia and Brady Kateman of Columbia; his siblings, Robert Kateman of Nelson and Joyce Boland (Gene) of Marshall; his son-in-law Chris Blumhorst of Blackwater; his stepgrandchildren, Lauren Crews (Zach) of Slater and Drew Weiker (Bailey) of Sedalia; his stepgreat-granddaughter Ralston Crews; and his cousin Dr. Shelby Gregory. He is also survived by several sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
