He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Johnson and Darlene Malan Johnson. He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Johnson of Slater, Butch Johnson of Gilliam, Lynda Wiseman of Miami and Marchell "Trinket" Harris of Miami. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
