He was predeceased by: his parents, Oye Bowland and Elsie Bowland (Prussman); his wife Rachel Miller; and his siblings, Alice Baxter, Lee Bowland, Lorene Davison, Maurice Bowland, Glenn Bowland, Lynn Bowland, Donna Mae Heck and Lucille Boswell.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Wilson (Greg), Cynthia Wankum (Mike), Virginia Jones (Ron) and Merritt Wesley Bowland (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Justin Wilson (Susan), Rachel Wankum, Leah Spears (Steven), Marie Rine (Jacob), Emilie Yates (Ryan) and Samantha Bowland; his great grandchildren, Luke, Eric and Alice Wilson; and his grandchildren, Emma, Mina Spears and Will Yates. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Skidmore Christian Church (106 N Orchard St, Skidmore, MO 64487). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Skidmore Christian Church, 106 N Orchard, Skidmore, MO 64487 or the Hillcrest Cemetery.
