He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Jacobsen and Lillian Ruth Jacobsen (Marsh); his son William Jacobsen Jr.; and his siblings, John Jacobsen, Dorothy Siller, Mary Lou Keeley, Ann Dickherber and Rudy Jacobsen.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Jacobsen; his children, Julia Orler (Ben), Michael Jacobsen (Donna), Brad Jacobsen, Daniel Jacobsen and James Jacobsen (Donna); his siblings, Ralph Jacobsen Jr. (Sally) and Patricia Ochs (Brian); his grandchildren, Ashley Orler, Robert Orler (Danielle), Mathew Jacobsen, Jennifer Klaus (Josh), Geoffery Jacobsen, Alex Jacobsen (Krista), Hannah Spratt (Aaron) and Lydia Phillips (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Falon, Finn, Brooklyn, Caroline and Danielle. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
