He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas W. Ayers and Violet L. Ayers; his wife Barbara Maylene Johnson; his brother Buford Ayers; and his sisters-in-law, Susan Berry and Beverly Oliver (Tom).
He is survived by: his sons, Ulyss Ralph Ayers Jr. of Burbank, CA and Allen Keith; his daughter-in-law Julia Elizabeth Ayers of O'Fallon, IL; his grandchildren, Lindsay B. Young (Tyler) and Austin A. Ayers (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Croft Young, Lottie Young, Preslie Young, Kendalyn Ayers and Sunny Ayers; his siblings, Eugene Ayers (Sharon), David Ayers (Pam) and Melba Cannon (Dan); and his sisters-in-law, Freeda Ayers and Joyce Cummins (Dick).
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memories Cemetery (522 Coleman St, Sikeston, MO 63801).
