He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Grindstaff and Laura Bristol Grindstaff; his wife Janet Kay Grindstaff; his sons, Kenny Grindstaff and Kelly Grindstaff; and his siblings, Gaylord Grindstaff, Maedean Grindstaff King, Maxine Grindstaff Griffen and Norma Jean Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his children, Clark Elton Grindstaff (Rosie) of Hillsboro, TX, Bruce Allan Grandstaff (late Rhonda) of Indianapolis, IN and Kathy Schuelke (Doak) of Clifton, TX; and his caregiver Kristy Ellison (Tim) of Sikeston, MO. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 21 grandchildren.
He was a lifelong member of the V. F. W. and enjoyed spending time there until Covid stopped him from going.
