He was predeceased by: his siblings, Carol Lynn Brown, Marietta Yvonne "Rita" Warfield, Levoulia Maxine Crenshaw, Lois Ellen Dixon and Robert Earl Simmons Sr.; his half-brother Frederick Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Alfred Crenshaw, Ed Dixon and Minnie Simmons.
He is survived by: his brothers, Charles Stanley Simmons of Sikeston and Michael Dewayne Simmons of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; his half-brothers, Larry Smith (Annie) of Colt, Arkansas, Willie Smith (Eunice) of Little Rock and Paul Smith (Deloris); his sister Sheila Monea Brown (Kenny) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and his half-sister Freddie Mae Smith of Marked Tree, Arkansas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Power House of God Church (717 Kendall St, Sikeston, MO 63801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
