He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas A. Boyd and Etta Johnson Boyd; his brothers, Thomas and Jack Boyd; and his nephew Stewart Boyd.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Jerry Boyd (Pamela) of Patton, Janet Heady Jr. (Chuck) of Cape Girardeau, Jim Boyd (Robin) of Sedgewickville, John Boyd (Cathy) of Jackson, Mary Friese (Ken) of Friedheim, Tina Shabel of Herman and Sandy Kasten (Doug) of Jackson; his stepdaughter Sandra Moore (Steve); and his stepgrandchildren, Clayton Carbaugh (Sarah), Jason Carbaugh (Nicole), Sophie, Stella Carbaugh, Shelby and Tyler Carbaugh. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, and many great great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
