It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Byrd Melancon of Sikeston, Missouri, born in Saint Amant, Louisiana, who passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Melancon and Anna Marie Simon Melancon; and his siblings, Curtis Melancon and Linda Melancon. He is survived by: his children, Vanessa Denam of Gonzales, LA, Melissa Guzzo of Arlington, VA, Jessica Melancon of Louisiana and Kacee Melancon of Houston, TX; and his siblings, Joan Melancon, Rheba Anderson of Saint Amant, LA and Robert Melancon (Wendy) of Long Beach, CA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren survive as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
