He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Butler (Hamlyn) and Willie E. Butler; and his siblings, Florence Taylor, Dorothy DiGiralmo, Wanda Clutter-Sims, Doris Ellis and C. H. Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Butler (Chiles); his daughters, Mary Anne Holmberg (Jassen Holmberg) and Cynthia Diane Stock (Keith Gines); his grandchildren, Heather Cruz (David Cruz), Jacob Alexander Stock (Emily Stock), Corey Harwood (Meredith Harwood), Joshua Irvin Stock (Molly Stock), Randy Harwood (Samantha Harwood), Derrick Holmberg and Alec Holmberg (Ashley Holmberg); his great grandchildren, Alexis Cruz, Jackson Stock, Trenton Stock, Bennett Stock, Lane Harwood, Taya Harwood, Austynn Stock and Melanie Stock; and his brothers, Chester, Billie and Dub Butler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
