She is survived by: her sons, Dwight Bates, Sr. of Lampe, Bradley Bates of Shell Knob, Matt Bates of Shell Knob and Norman Bates of Vigo County, Indiana; and her sisters, Carol Pinkstaff of Vincennes and Jenny Biggs of Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
