He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Howard and Nellie Howard (Stout); his wife Betty L. Carroll; his brothers, Keith and Dwayne; his stepbrother Wally; his sisters, Connye and Juanita; and his stepsisters, Jean and Vonetta.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vinell Howard of Shell Knob and Regina Dodd (Michael) of Shell Knob, Missouri; his stepsister Sophina Dunn (Dean) of Forsythe, Missouri; and his grandson Shayne Howard (Amanda) of Wichita. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
