We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Tom Claflin of Sheldon, Missouri. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Clark and Electra Lee Claflin (Kraus). He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Landwehr (Janie); his children, Kathy Claflin-Ashworth and Charles Claflin (Michelle); his grandchildren, Justin Hancock (Sarah), Kelsey Westerhold (Joshua), Cody Claflin (Taylor), Caitlin Baney (Corey) and Carly Claflin; his great grandchildren, Maddison Westerhold of Sheldon, Cade of Sheldon and Cameron Claflin of Sheldon; and his brothers, Harry Claflin (Mary) and Dick Claflin (Brenda). He is also survived by cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either the Nevada Animal Shelter or the Vernon County Youth Fair in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

“We will miss you, Tom. You were a hard working man who loved your family and took good care of them. I remember how much you loved your dogs. They were also a part of your family and that is always a sign of a good man. You had a sense of humor and you knew how to laugh. I remember you challenged me to fry an egg for you without burning it. I did it! I am sorry we won't have another chance to visit and laugh. Rest well. You have certainly earned it. Cindy Joseph”
