It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Wayne Caparoon of Sheldon, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jack may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Wayne and Evelyn Ruth Caparoon (Jamison); and his brothers, Jim and Joe. He is survived by: his wife Janice Gaylene Payton; and his children, Jeff Caparoon of Gardner, KS, Janine Hobbs (Brian) of Holden, MO and Jerry Caparoon. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (20109 Bus, MO-13, Higginsville, MO 64037).
