He is survived by: his wife Joyce Katharan Tiedt; his children, Candy Williams (Brad) of Chariton, IA, Robert Hinkle (Judy) of Waterloo, IA, Don Hinkle (Kristi) and Randy Hinkle (Valerie); his grandchildren, Wendy, Chad, Amy, Jason, Jessica, Jerad, Eric and Drew; and his siblings, Amos Hinkle (Maryann) of Bronaugh, MO, Milton Hinkle (Mary Jane), Sheldon and Joy Snyder (Steve) of Warsaw, MO.. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
