He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Smallwood and Alberta Marie Smallwood (Hays); his wife Josephine Lehenbauer; and his siblings, Nolen Smallwood, Robert Smallwood and Mildred Trout.
He is survived by: his son James Smallwood of Shelbyville, MO; his grandchildren, Trisha Billingsley (Robert) of El Paso, TX and Nickie Little (Stephen) of Shelbina, MO; and his siblings, Ruby Mae Wood, Elizabeth Watterson, Leo Smallwood and Katherine Stephens. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Family suggests memorials be made to Salt River Community Care Center.
