It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Jean Smoot of Shelbina, Missouri, born in Rutledge, Missouri, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Morrison and Lucile Morrison (Twitchell); her spouse Marion Leon Smoot; her granddaughter Jenny Sue Smoot; and her brothers, Jim Morrison and Dick Morrison.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall Smoot (Barbara) of Leonard, MO, David Smoot (Dianne) of Kirksville, MO and Greg Smoot (Linda) of LaPlata, MO; her grandchildren, Daniel Smoot (Jessica), Adam Smoot (Anna), Lori Beth Jester (Bill), Jason Smoot (Andrea), Brett Smoot (Laura), Jeremy Smoot (Danielle) and Lindsey Tiedemann (Josh); her great grandchildren, Logan, Weston, Garrett Jester, Natalie, Scarlet, Layla, Brody, London, Bauer, Zane, Beau, Colton, Scotland, Mac Smoot, Jaydon, Parker and Holden Tiedemann; and her sisters-in-law, Alma Jo Lair and Janis Morrison.
