With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nellie Lynn Latchford of Shelbina, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 17, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Meyer C. Stiefel and Lena Stiefel (Brentz); her grandson Scott Callighan; her husband Leon Delbert Latchford of Mary's Catholic Church; and her siblings, Cecil Stiefel, Olen Stiefel, Virgil Stiefel, Dallas Stiefel, Ona Lea Shores and Della Jelski.
She is survived by: her children, Sammy Latchford (Barbara) of Shelbina, MO, Jody Chinn (David) of Clarence, MO, Bruce Latchford (Vicki) of Callao, MO and Tena Callighan (Kenny) of Salisbury, MO; and her grandchildren, Jill Douglass (Brian), Billy Latchford (Laura), Tracy Myers (Alan), Kraig Chinn, Nikki Chinn, Brandy Clark (David), Dustin Latchford (Danielle), Tina Brown (Jim), Amber Apel (Billy) and Adam Callighan (Sarah). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Shelby County Senior Center, or Scott Callighan Memorial.
