He is survived by: his mother Judith Beneck Barnes; his wife Patty Christoffer; his children, Christopher Joseph Barnes (Taylor) of Shelbina, MO and Whitney Malene Dowell (Charlie) of Shelbina, MO; his grandchildren, Isabel Barnes, Ian Barnes, Kember Barnes, Bentleigh, Blaire Johnson and Baylor Dowell; and his sisters, Julie Barnes and Jayne Knox.
