Donald Harry Peters Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Harry Peters of Shelbina, Missouri, who passed away on July 15, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Detlef Peters and Theodosia Bickford; his stepmother Anna Peters; his siblings, Doris, Doretha, Clara, Fred, Glen and Bob Peters; his parents-in-law, Chester and Roberta Wilson; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Wilson, Elton Shiers and Maidie Peters.

He is survived by: his children, Brian Peters (Traci) of Chillicothe, MO, Lana Nelson (Craig) of California, MO and Darin Peters (Rhonda) of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Letrisha Thomas (Keith) of Ashland, MO, Kristen Nelson (Jim Rohrbach) of California, MO, Sarah Nelson (Eric Stegeman) of Centertown, MO, Scott Nelson of Kansas City, MO, John Meneely (Bobbi) of Chillicothe, MO, Chauncey Brooke (Jake) of Braymer, MO, Alexandra Bandhu of St. Charles, MO, Danielle Mettes of Keokuk, IA, Jacob Peters, Mary Peters and Marcus Peters of Dallas, TX; his sister Irene Shiers of Kearney, NE; and his parents-in-law, Cindy, Lanny Rasmussen, Carla and Rich Hallstrom. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the South Shelby Golf Team Fund.
