He is survived by: his wife Susanne Vetter; his children, Matthew Bichsel (Kimberly) of St. Charles, MO, Sheila Bichsel (Rick Donovan) of St. Charles, MO and Brad Bichsel (Audrey) of Wentzville, MO; his grandsons, Seth, Nicholas, Jacob and Luke Bichsel; his siblings, Freddie Bichsel of Quincy, IL, Kenny Bichsel (Roberta) of Leonard, MO and Angela Lepper (Kent) of Quincy, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Bichsel of Monroe City, MO, Mary Lou Bichsel of Leonard, MO, Janet Bichsel of Leonard, MO and Buck Stark of Quincy, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
