She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Samuel and Bessie Mae Dodson (Richardson); her husband Chester "Monroe" Smith of Seymour; her siblings, Ivan, Donald, Cecil, Mary, Mildred, Peggy and Dorothy; and her great grandchild Hayley Jo Burks.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry (JoEllen Smith), Joe Dean (Norma Smith) and Jackie (Kathy Smith). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and many other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
