It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cherry Sweeney of Seymour, Missouri, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cherry Sweeney to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Holman and Gladys Holman; her husband Charles Sweeney; her brother Danny Holman; and her grandson Gabriel Ferreira.
She is survived by: her significant other George Odell III; her children, Shanna Champion (David Champion) of Poplar Bluff, Tiffany Heil (Andrew Heil) of Clarksville, Jonathan "JJ" Larsen (Crystal Coale) of Springfield, Jeffrey Larsen (Amanda Larsen) of Springfield, Michael Sweeney (Michelle Sweeney) of The Netherlands, Jennifer Sweeney of Florida and Paula Marie Moien (Jeffery Moien); and her siblings, Joann Land (James Land) of Orion, James "Leroy" Holman of Seymour, James "Jim" Ferrey (Yoli Ferrey) of Morrison and Elizabeth Burge (Jason Burge) of Morrison. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a multitude of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home - Seymour (214 W Clinton Ave, Seymour, MO 65746). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Seymour Masonic Cemetery (899 W Clinton Ave, Seymour, MO 65746).
