He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Earnest and Reeta Marie Drake (Christerson); his siblings, Max Drake (Sandy) of Neosho, MO, Reeta Marie, Ernest Junior Drake (Dora Mae) and Norman Drake (Margie); his father-in-law Kenneth Chester; and his pets, Marty and Bandit.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Chester; his sons, Robert Long (Billie Jo) of Wyandotte, OK and Gary Nelson of Seneca, MO.; his brother-in-law Roger Chester (Cheryl) of Wyandotte, OK; his mother-in-law Janet Chester of Wyandotte, OK; and his nieces and nephews, Sharon (Jerry Winchester), Steve (Debbie Drake), Shirley (Charlie Gray), Roger Drake, Dee Anne (David Allen), Randy (Jenny Drake), Chris (Denise Drake), Susan (Aaron Simpson), Tammy Drake, Brittany (Robert Watson), Jena' (Jonathan Turner) and Kristan Chester.
