She was predeceased by: her parents, Esker Cummings and May Bell Smith Cummings; her siblings, Curtis "Buddy" Cummings, Virginia Huffman and Billy Cummings; her husband Charles S. Hicks III; her sons, Terry Pemberton Hicks and Steven Charles Hicks; and her great grandchild Isaiah Shepard.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Hicks of Jacksonville, AR, Stan Hicks and Chris Hicks (Cheryl) of Senath, MO. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several other relatives.
