He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jeff Brooks and Hazel Brooks (Moser) of Senath; his spouse Jewell Brooks (Wake); his children, Mike Brooks (Betsy) of Clayton, Jerri Odle (Steve) of Senath and Sherri Harris (Steve) of Senath; his grandchildren, Meagan Head (Kevin), Michelle Brooks, Tyler Harris (Kassie), Whitney Lancaster (Josh), Matthew Brooks, Madeline Pomerance (Justin), Austin Harris (Katie) and Moogie Brooks; his great grandchildren, Livie Lancaster, Mac Harris, Van Harris, Laken Lancaster, Merrick Harris and Hudson Head; and his siblings, Wanda Green (Freeman), Vaughn Brooks (Wilma), June Roberts (Larry Roberts), Carol Morgan (Ronnie), Dean Miller, Mack Brooks (Jessica) and Jane Brooks.
