She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Bray and Lucy Mae Burgess Bray; her husband James Carl Carden; and her siblings, Ward Bray, Lynn Bray, Martin Bray and Leora Edens.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Carden (Jo Anna) of Seligman; and her close friend Ernest Fletcher. She is also survived by two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
