He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonathan Deans and Myrtle Deans (Twitty); his daughter Jennifer Susan Deans; his grandson Cody W. Deans; and his brother Henry Deans.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Deans of Seligman; his son John "Sid" Deans (Krista); his stepgranddaughters, Melanie Chandler of Fayetteville and Vanessa Chandler-Van Riper (Tim) of West Fork, Arkansas; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emma, Maddi, George and Persie; and his sisters, Mary Mason of Rogers and Wanda Anderson of Monett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
