Virginia Clare Hoskins Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2024, at the age of 89, Virginia Clare Hoskins of Sedalia, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, R. A. "Spec" Garvey and Josephine Louise Garvey (Walsh); her husband Robert "Bob" Hoskins; and her siblings, John Garvey and Mary Louise Thorpe.

She is survived by: her children, Glen Hoskins (Debbie) of Hughesville, MO, Brian Hoskins (Sadiya) of Oakton, VA, Mark Hoskins (Kerrie) of Gladstone, MO, Keith, Moira Healy (Dave) of DeSoto, KS, Kelly Hoskins (Amy) of Omaha, NE and Margaret Ward (Larry) of Sedalia, MO; and her cousins, Michael Garvey, Denis Garvey, Bridget Gillespie, Thomas Garvey, Judy Maxwell, Scott McBride, Mary Beth Elison, Michael Walsh and John Pat Walsh. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (313 N Livingston St, Brookfield, MO 64628).

In lieu of flowers, mourners are encouraged to contribute to EW Thompson Health & Rehab Center Activity Center or AGC Hospice (formerly Crossroads), whose staff provided incredible care for Virginia over the last 10 months, or the Sedalia Police Department's Protective Vests for Detectives.
