He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank M. Kabler and Alma Kabler (Shull); his former wife Connie Sue Kabler (Shoemaker); his siblings, Joe Kabler, Betty Sublett and Donald Lee Kabler; his son Michael Smith; and his grandson Kevin Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Wilcox Smith; his daughter Vicky Riley (Tim) of Sedalia; his grandchildren, Melissa Viebrock, Lindsay Ream (Mark) and Josh Riley; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Smith. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Broadway Baptist Church in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
