He was predeceased by: his father Robert Hunter; and his brother Donnie Hunter. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Offenburger; his wife Amy Hunter; his sons, Zachary Hunter of Sedalia and Jacob Hunter (Whitney) of Warrensburg; his siblings, Bennie Hunter (Pam) of Hughesville, Bobby Hunter of Sedalia and Mary Pillars of Sedalia; and his granddaughters, Eliana Hunter of Warrensburg and Maycie Hunter of Warrensburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the LifePointe Church (2921 W Broadway Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Amy Hunter for Jimmy's grandchildren's college fund in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
