James R. DeMotte Obituary

We bid farewell to James R. DeMotte (Sedalia, Missouri), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 16, 2025 at the age of 83. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry DeMotte and Dortha DeMotte (Upchurch); his wife Mary Elizabeth Farris; and his half-brother Otis DeMotte. He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Lazenby (Wes) of LaMonte, MO. and Bobby DeMotte (Jeri) of LaMonte, MO.; his grandchildren, Bryant Lazenby, Blaire Riley (Jacob), Clayton DeMotte and Vada Johnson (Seth); his great grandchildren, Kimberlynn and Bowen Riley; his sister Kay Pummill of Knob Noster, MO; his niece Karen Seward (Jim); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Josh, Jordan and Jesselyn; his nephew John Pummill (Carrie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Colten and Mallory; and his daughters, Dr. Jeanne DeMotte of Richmond, MO and Barbara Steiner of Weatherford, OK. He is also survived by his family, friends.
