He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob J. Simon and Lena Bahner Simon; his siblings, Joe, Lawerence, Anthony "Tony" Simon, Mary Simon, Ottilla "Tilly" Simon and Rose Simon; and his son-in-law Steve Emory.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Katherine Dove; his children, Wayne Simon (Karen) of La Monte, Melvin Simon (Chris) of Warrensburg, Howard Simon (Bobby) of Sedalia, Kathy Emory of Sedalia, Linda Simon of Fulton and Diane Kidwell (Jeff) of Columbia; and his grandchildren, Ashton Dennis, Amanda Baalman, Rachelle Simon and Dr. Brett Simon. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Those wishing to attend are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart School Foundation, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
