He was predeceased by: his parents, John Floyd and Minnie Beaton Dinwiddie; his siblings, James Lawson, John Ralph Dinwiddie and Sarah Helen Bors; and his grandson Parker Schaefer.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Lee Hopke; his daughters, Cindy Schaefer of Barnhart and Saundra Morrison of Fairville, Oklahoma; and his brother Henry Dinwiddie of Infield, Illinois. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
