He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurston Patterson and Emma Lee McAfee Farmer. He is survived by: his children, John Farmer (Pily) of Mexico City, Mexico and Nancy Strong (Ken) of Scott City; his sister Elizabeth Myers of Kansas City, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Johnathon Farmer, Andrew Strong, Kareena Slakey (Matt), Virginia Morris (David), Daniel Strong (Brittney), Charles Farmer and Ian Farmer. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and four nephews.
