He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Hagan and Edna Held Hagan. He is survived by: his wife Helen Maurine Crader; his children, Robert Hagan Jr. of Chaffee, Missouri, Darlene Seyer of Jackson, Ruth Meier of Jackson and Sherry Haidar of Fenton, Missouri; and his siblings, Larry Hagan of Scott City and Gussie Essner of Jackson, Missouri. He is also survived by five granddaughters and 2 grandsons; also, by eight great-grandchildren.
