It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Smith (Scott City, Missouri), born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Raines and Neta Raines (Peetz); her husband John Z. Smith; and her siblings, Alice Getz, Wilford Raines and Marvin Raines.
She is survived by: her children, John Smith (Rhonda) of Scott City, Missouri, Leslie Kriete (Greg) of Columbia and Anita Smith of Scott City, Missouri; her grandsons, Connor Kriete, Dalton Smith and Carson Smith; and her pet Zoey.
