It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Dees (Scott City, Missouri), born in Chaffee, Missouri, who passed away on December 24, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sisters, Cecilia Walton of Fairview Heights, Lorena Halter of Scott City, Elizabeth Stubbs of Chaffee and Anna Mae Smith of Ringgold, Georgia; and her sons, Gary and Thomas.
She is survived by: her parents, John Anthony and Bertha Lorene Lauck Halter; her spouse Harvey Claude "Avery" Dees; and her children, Larry Dees (Melba) of Springfield, Anthony Dees of Scott City, Diane Scholl, Joyce Cliff (Jim) of Scott City and Debbie Burford (Gary) of Benton, Missouri. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
