He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Alfred and Goldia Brant Collier; his spouse Jean Lafern Strauser; and his siblings, Danny Collier, Ronald Amos, Alrhea Henderson and Waletta Collier.

He is survived by: his children, Carmon "Spank" Collier Jr. of Scott City, Karen Gentry (Steve), Sharon van der Wel (Jan) and Debbie Reddick (Rob) of Scott City; his brothers, Houston Collier (Mary) of Iuka and Leanis Collier of Jackson, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Katina Stoops, Justin, Adam, Cody, Bayleigh, Jordan Gentry, Donnie Wiley (Lyndsey), Nance van der Wel (Mike), Wesley van der Wel (Desiree), Allen Collier (Becky), Matt Collier (Katie), Denae Phillips (Brandon) and Mallory Lee (Shawn). He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association, Scott City Food Pantry and Restoration Community Church in Scott City.
