He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Melvin and Clara Marie Wylder Cook, Sr.; and his siblings, Norman, Bill, Tommy, Laura Frances Stone and Carolyn Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Debby Schlenker of Scott City; his children, Robert Cook of Alton, Dustin Cook (Ashley) of Jackson and Abbie Diamantopoulos (Tommy) of Chicago, Illinois; his brothers, G. Cook (Sandi) of Scott City, Freddie Cook (Barb) of Jefferson City and Eddie Cook (Nancy) of Yuma, Arizona; and his grandchildren, Rylann, Tycen, Demi Jo and Adriana. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
