She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Alvin and Bessie Alice Schlup (Sims); her husband Herbert Gene Scholes; her stepfather Edgar Allen Poe; her son Douglas Eugene Scholes; and her siblings, William, Roy, Tom, James Schlup, Louise Friedli and Jessie Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Janell Hale (Kenny) of Lockwood, MO, Ida Lambrecht (Frank), Luessa Sumner (Charles) and Herbert Scholes II (Pam) of Walker, MO; her grandchildren, Kayla Wilson, Shawna Hale, Jennifer Smith, Nathan Murry, Kris Matzke, Heather Smith, Caressa Bryan, Maddy Crawford, Brittany Herman, Joshua Scholes, Charles Sumner II, Cliff Sumner, Dallas Scholes, Navarre Scholes, Wyatt Lambrecht and Oliva Lambrecht; and her siblings, Larry Poe (Vicki), Barbara Smith (Rick) and Bonnie Stone (Scott). She is also survived by several great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
