He was predeceased by: his parents, William Knechtenhofer and Hazel Knechtenhofer (Talbot); his spouse Beverly I. Peek; his son Steven; and his siblings, Doris Schneider and William Knechtenhofer.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Knechtenhofer (Karin) of Savannah, MO, Jan Knechtenhofer of Savannah, MO and John Knechtenhofer (Glenda Williams) of Mission, KS; his grandchildren, Erien Lee Knechtenhofer (Kerri), Katlin Connell (Steven Gripka), Sarah Knechtenhofer, Kelsey Wynes (Tucker), Sam Knechtenhofer (Alessia) and Jakob Knechtenhofer (Kali Wade); and his great grandchildren, Bree, Aiden Knechtenhofer, Brecken, Jaxson Wynes and Greta Gripka.
