He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Niebuhr and Martha Niebuhr (Peterman); his sisters, Martha Jean Niebuhr and Marcia Ostlund; his brothers-in-law, Darold Albright and Bill Hollis; his stepchildren, Whitney Miller and Bart Miller; his nephew Dennis Albright; and his niece Denise Albright.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Steeby-Miller; his stepchildren, Timothy Miller of Savannah, Bret Miller of Savannah and Deborah Thorburn (Robert) of Fillmore, MO; his grandchildren, Shane Thorburn (Melissa), Delynn Kuykendall (Tim), Angel Perez (Chris), Lacey Grooms (Bryan), Austin Miller, Derek Miller (Melanie), Kristin Miller and Thomas Bart Miller; and his siblings, Wilbert Niebuhr (Delaine) of Fort Wayne, IN, Donald Niebuhr of Prescott, AZ, Delbert Niebuhr (Denise) of Perry, IA, Marilyn Albright of Iowa City, IA. and Marlyce Hollis of Iowa City, IA.. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
