It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary E. Bowland of Savannah, Missouri, born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Bowland and Betty Bowland (Albertson); and his in-laws, Harry and Effie Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Christina Sturm (John) of Savannah, Jackie Butler (Ben Baldwin) of St. Joseph and Jamie Nigh (Doug) of Savannah; his grandchildren, Hayley Butler (Bryson Waitkoss), Taylor Smith (Mason), Kalyn Sturm (Emryk Ring) and Cody Nigh; and his siblings, Janice Bowland of Savannah, Joyce Bird of St. Joseph, Donna Jean Peterson of Savannah, Judy Myers of St. Joseph and Jerald Bowland (Lori Sticken) of Savannah. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
