He was predeceased by: his grandfather Stanley Garber; his great-grandparents, Harold, Juanita Long (Houck), George, Kathleen Garber (Condie) and Don; and his uncle Ronald Gene Long.

He is survived by: his parents, Charles Garber of Carthage and Charissa Ersland of Seattle; his daughter Hazel May Garber; his stepdaughter Maria Mae Stewart; his siblings, Thomas Garber (Natira) of Carthage and Rebecca Lynne Taylor (Blake) of Webb City, Missouri; his grandmother Linda Garber of Sarcoxie; his uncle Lavern Long of Sarcoxie; and his nieces, Bailey Taylor and Emily Taylor.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Sarcoxie Community Building (218 N 5th St, Sarcoxie, MO 64862).
